California had her eyes set

for major accomplishments early in life. Liz parents Ricardo and Lorenza's love and sacrificial support put her in a position to achieve every goal set. Liz was the 1st in her immediate family to be born in the US, followed by her two brothers Josue David and Hugo. As most Liz realized being an American is a proud honor therefore right out of high school she found a way to give back harnessing another generational 1st she joined the U.S. Army Corp with determination to proudly serve her country and see the world while doing so. Liz felt military travels would allow her the explore historical sites which was always her desire. Liz achieved this mission through her assigned tour of duties she traveled to Korea, Louisiana, Germany, Africa, Kuwait, Iraq with her final tour in Texas. Liz states touring Europe seeing the Mona Lisa, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Colosseum in Rome were some of her best an memorable moments. While training, serving, and maintaining a military career and lifestyle was pleasurable it was also tasking however could not prepare her for the task she would face days ahead. In December 2012 Liz had served 15 years of duty when she received a phone call that would change the course of her life, her youngest brother Hugo 20 years old, a resident of Texas was killed in a tragic automobile accident. This news was unbearable and surreal as she began to align her thoughts and feeling regarding this devastating event and the task at hand needed to get her through the unforeseen times ahead the following day Liz received another phone call that would rock her world to the core, her last brother David a 30 year old resident of California now the father of three young children had experienced the same faith succumbing to a tragic car accident. Military training nor 15 years of service could not prepare Liz for this journey, she had to walk this course alone harnessing the sacrificial love from her parents and her self determination to live one day at a time. Liz took solace through bonding with David's three children and being that shining light for them. She finished her course with the military and retired September 2019. Liz currently lives in Texas and spends as much time as she could with her

nephews Dylan and

Damien and

niece Delila.

Marie Douglas-Bryant

a Chicago native has been

spreading her wings since

birth. She is the eldest of

three at an early age she took

her rightful place in the family being a beam of light for them all. She works hard and even plays harder building a legacy for her daughter. She has owed businesses and been employed in various arenas, the diverse experiences prepared her for challenges she would face later in life. Marie made a pivotal point when she left her home in Chicago and moved to Las Vegas leaving all immediate family to embrace the unknown and build an extended family in the Las Vegas area. Upon her arrival she continued making strives and advances in her personal and professional life. In 2015 Marie received an unexpected diagnosis of Breast Cancer, this news shook her world. After gathering her thoughts and going through the necessary preliminaries to prepare for the battle ahead of her Marie used every tool she learned over the years to harness the strength and tenacity to take charge of her health and life. Against all odds she beat cancer and has now been cancer free for 5 years. During Breast Cancer Awareness month

Natashia

has chosen to

embrace her best life. She has grown tremendous over the course of the last six years when she began to take the wheel of her life and stop letting others drive. Once she placed the wheel of life back into her own hands she was able to maneuver, steer until she found her direction and purpose. Of course her journey was not so easy but she persevered. She re-located to a new city, started and finished college and have moved on to seek her purpose to work in the field she was called to. She is currently getting plans together to start her non-profit called Square Girls.

WIM gives shouts out to her for becoming a Women in motion taking necessary steps and doing the work to live her best life.
